Pilates is a form of exercise developed by Joseph Pilates which emphasises the balanced development of the body through core strength, flexibility and awareness in order to support efficient movement and functionality.

All exercises are demonstrated with modifications which will make every workout safe and challenging for a client at any level.

Core strength is the foundation of Pilates exercises. The core muscles are the deep, internal muscles of the abdomen and back. When the core muscles are strong and doing their job, as they are trained to do in Pilates, they work in tandem with the more superficial muscles of the trunk to support the spine and movement.

As you develop your core strength you develop stability throughout your entire torso. This is one of the ways Pilates helps people overcome backpain. As the trunk is properly stabilised, pressure on the back is relieved and the body is able to move freely and efficiently.

Absolutely Fabulous Fitness offers Group Matwork Pilates classes as per the timetable and individual pilates sessions by appointment.

Individual sessions include Remedial Pilates, Pre & Post Pregnancy and Beginners sessions.

Personal Training is offered to clients at all levels to achieve their goal.

Ab Fab Personal Goal package

We also offer a package where you have a personal session once a week followed by up to 3 classes. This package is great if you need that extra push or if you have that specific goal you want to reach. We will work with you to achieve it.

Boxing for Fitness

This class includes technique and drills followed by Interval Circuits.  You will need shoes and a towel and if you have your own gloves bring them along.
